Councillor Vacancies
Gargrave Parish Council now has two vacant councillor positions following the resignation of Councillor Alan Sutcliffe.
Gargrave is a village in the Yorkshire Dales, a thriving local community with ancient Roman sites, historic buildings, restaurants, B&B accommodation, hotel, camping and caravan sites. Gargrave’s railway station has train services connecting eastwards to Skipton, westwards towards Lancaster and northwards to the iconic Settle to Carlisle railway line. Within the village there is a supermarket, church, two restaurants, two pubs, doctor and dentist’s surgeries, primary school, children’s playground and village hall which hosts many community events. Sporting facilities include cricket, football, tennis, croquet and bowling clubs. The River Aire meanders through the village greens, and the Leeds-Liverpool Canal skirts the village with its colourful barges and pretty towpath walks.
