Gargrave is an English civil parish within the unitary authority of North Yorkshire

Gargrave is a village in the Yorkshire Dales, a thriving local community with ancient Roman sites, historic buildings, restaurants, B&B accommodation, hotel, camping and caravan sites. Gargrave’s railway station has train services connecting eastwards to Skipton, westwards towards Lancaster and northwards to the iconic Settle to Carlisle railway line. Within the village there is a supermarket, church, two restaurants, two pubs, doctor and dentist’s surgeries, primary school, children’s playground and village hall which hosts many community events. Sporting facilities include cricket, football, tennis, croquet and bowling clubs. The River Aire meanders through the village greens, and the Leeds-Liverpool Canal skirts the village with its colourful barges and pretty towpath walks.
